The Ketchum Arts Festival began in 1999 when a group of Blaine County, Idaho, artists, inspired by
Janet Dunbar, held the Festival in the gallery at the Courtyard, across from Giacobbi Square.  
Eventually more artists participated and the Festival moved to East Avenue between 4th St. and Sun
Valley Road, which was closed to traffic for this purpose.  In 2005, we moved to Festival Meadow in
Sun Valley.  With room to spare we began inviting guest artists from around Idaho to participate if
they made something that we, as Blaine County artists did not offer.

We are a Blaine County, Idaho, festival with additional Idaho artists.   If you see artists with out of
state addresses, either they are former Blaine County residents who participated in the Festival
when they lived here, but they have moved away since then, or they are part time residents who pay
property taxes in Blaine County.
